Founder, Dr. Jennifer David

Board-certified dermatology

Dr. Jennifer David is a Board-Certified dermatologist who has a passion for helping patients look and feel their best. She grew up in Bucks County Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. Being inspired by her own pediatrician Dr. Wolf’s frequent house calls and compassionate demeanor, she knew from a young age that becoming a physician was her calling.

Medical training & education

Dr. David graduated top of her class at Temple University with a Bachelor of the Art’s degree in Biological Anthropology. She then obtained her medical degree from The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her natural curiosity and entrepreneurial instincts inspired her to simultaneously obtain a Master’s in Business Administration degree from Saint Joseph’s University. While in medical school Dr. David discovered her passion for dermatology and specifically for learning the nuances and differences in treating skin of color. This passion led her to complete a clinical research fellowship with Dr. Susan Taylor, the founder of the Skin of Color Society and The Skin of Color Center at St. Luke’s Roosevelt. She then went on to complete her dermatology residency training at Larkin Hospital in Miami serving as co-chief resident during her final year. Dr. Jennifer David is now a Board-Certified Dermatologist with a passion and expertise for treating skin of color.

Industry leadership

Dr. David has completed numerous peer reviewed publications, authored chapters in dermatologic textbooks, lectured at national conferences and maintains active leadership roles in organizations such as the Women’s Dermatologic Society, the Skin of Color Society, the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology.

After completing residency, Dr. David worked in private practice settings in Texas and New Jersey before returning to her home state of Pennsylvania. She currently treats patients at her office in Bensalem, a suburb of Philadelphia but felt a calling to recreate the convenience of a modern-day house call for her patients similar to her childhood experience with her pediatrician Dr. Wolf. She developed Skin & Scripts, a virtual dermatology practice that operates beyond the four walls of a traditional office to provide personalized and convenient dermatologic care.

Founding Skin & Scripts

Skin & Scripts offers a safe, convenient and cost-effective solution to delivering expert skincare to all patients within the four states she currently holds medical licenses. (PA, NJ, TX and FL). If you don’t live in one of those states, stay tuned, as Skin & Scripts is in the process of rapidly expanding their network of Board-Certified Dermatologists to service all 50 states. Through Skin & Scripts Dr. David hopes to improve the access to dermatology care to patients who are geographically isolated, uninsured or just too busy to wait 3 months to see a board certified dermatologist for an emergency skin issue.

Fun Facts

Dr. David is from a large family and is one of six children.

She is a former Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleader who cheered with the team in Super Bowl XXXIX

She loves traveling and after tracing some of her family roots, recently visited with relatives who still live in Croatia

She is an avid dog lover and enjoys spending time with her two mastiffs Sammie and Bella
